Fortunately, we have a way to keep them entertained -- and the adults can have just as much fun while they "supervize" proceedings...

Everybody who wants to play sits or stands in a circle. Hand out one or more gifts or treats and get somebody to read out the story. Every time the word LEFT is read out, players hand their item one person to the left and vice-versa. Whoever's holding the goodies when the story ends gets to keep them!
